Dialysis Clinic - I-2.1 Occupancy - 2007 CBC and CMC

The dialysis clinic project consists of type B occupancy and Type I-2.1 occupancy separated by a
fire barrier and 2007 CA codes apply.

The patient treatment areas are in the I-2.1 occupancy and the rooftop HVAC
units have been specified with seismic vibration isolation curbs. In the type B occupancy, there are offices, storage and miscellaneous areas with separate HVAC rooftop AC units.

Question: Are the HVAC units serving the B occupancy areas required to have seismic vibration isolation curbs or can they use regular roof curbs?

Thank you for the response.

Since a dialysis clinic can be considered as an occupancy category II, are the seismic vibration isolation curbs even required at the units serving the I-2.1 portion? Where is this requirement specified? Is it in the building or mechanical code or is it part of an OSHPD CAN/PIN/other?
