Today I gave my first southern California seminar on the new sign rules. It was well attended, with a mix of architects, government people, and sign companies and designers. We ended up with four hours of instruction, plus lunch. It's very educational to hear of architect's experiences with DSA -- from architects that I trust are trying to do it right.
As far as sign companies go, the universal experience is that they are told to sit down and shut up. So, it's not just me!
Maybe California is just too big to be governable! At the same time, it is true that we are the most accessible state.
