New ADA Sign Guidelines

I will be giving a 3 hour seminar near the Oakland Airport on Friday, November 11th, at 10 am. Attendance is limited to 25. I still have a few spaces, so please contact me immediately if you are interested. (sharon@tojico.com) We will be covering the 2010 ADA Guidelines, and how they can be used in conjunction with 2010 CBC during the interim period until California brings its code up to date.

Mid-March will be here sooner than we all think. I've given three seminars in northern California, and will be offering one soon in Southern California. My very detailed manual is also on sale now, and is available as a download. Let me now if you are interested in any of that, or my templates for letters and braille.
Today I gave my first southern California seminar on the new sign rules. It was well attended, with a mix of architects, government people, and sign companies and designers. We ended up with four hours of instruction, plus lunch. It's very educational to hear of architect's experiences with DSA -- from architects that I trust are trying to do it right.

As far as sign companies go, the universal experience is that they are told to sit down and shut up. So, it's not just me!

Maybe California is just too big to be governable! At the same time, it is true that we are the most accessible state.
