Photovoltaic electrical question..

We have a solar contractor wanting to install a residential Photovoltaic system, he is inquiring if this is accepatable for his inverter interconnection?

"I am connecting an 8K inverter to a 125A entrance panel. The panel has been derated to a 100A main. There is a provision for a load side tap above the main breaker. I would like to connect there and extend this circuit to a 70A sub panel with a 40A breaker for the inverter tie in."

Is this acceptable?
Thanks...!

There was an article about this in the IAEI magazine a couple months ago.
As I recall they say you can attach a total of 120% of the rating of the busbar (150v in this case so that is OK) but they also require that this be from a back fed breaker at the opposite end as the main breaker.
