Roof venting problem in california

I am doing the plans for a cabin up near shaver lake in california. on the roof we are using 14" TJI 360's with metal roofing and no facia board since the tails are exposed. we have 150lb snow load. and all the ceilings are vaulted.

the problem is since the code change we are no longer allowed to use eave venting. (or there isnt a california fire approved eave vent)

we have been doing low/high dormers on other houses, however with our snowload and metal roof, we cant do that here.

any idea's on how to vent our roof ?

havent asked trusjoist about exposed joist. having been up to the site and seeing a few of the existing cabins have roof systems similar to our own. if the exposed TJI were a problem we would just slap a facia on it and cover everything.

again the problem is that we cant use eave vents. and are looking for anyone who may have had a similar situation.
