Separation offices from aircraft hangar

I am working on a small aircraft hangar (8K SF) and an attached two story offices (6K SF) and am I missing something but as long as I meet the requirements of CBC 508.3 I do not need a fire wall between them?  I am so use to putting fire walls between them that it just seems like I am missing something but I cannot find where it is required.  Thanks all

If you get all of 508.3 with subsections, then no fire wall required. Impacts are allowable area based on type of construction for most restrictive occupancy, fire sprinklers required (or not), and yards (should be easy to get enough unless hangar is sandwiched in a row).

The unseparated occupancy thing goes against what we UBC types have had pounded into our brains for the prior 35+ years.
