Where forward approach is required for clear floor space at kitchen sink, there seems to be a conflict with garbage disposer / in sink erator. Is it just not possible to have one installed and also comply with knee and toe space requirement? I have seen many residential and commercial installations, but there has not been a case where proper knee space is provided under sink with a disposer.
It is possible. Start with a shallow sink, with the hole that seats towards the rear of the bowl. Then one of the major disposal companies (can't remember the name of the unit), makes a unit that is not tall. Can be done. Good luck!
There are sinks with offset drains. The disposer will be set back
Thank you both for the input. They are both good solutions that work.
It is interesting no manufacturer seems to be interested in introducing the ADA-line of in-sink disposer as of yet. The first company who makes it could possibly dominate the market.
