thanks for feedback. i'm familiar with too.
If you want boot camp, you will get boot camp. You will live, eat, breath, and sleep codes for 9 months. By the time you finish this course you will be a competent entry level code enforcement officer or inspector. You will also know how to study and interpret the code books and will be completely versed in the legal aspects and application, as well as be P.O.S.T. certified (I went through thru the program about 14 years ago, so granted my information is dated, but I don't think they would change a good thing.) I strongly recommend it. However, be prepared to do nothing else for the entire 9 months, unless you are an exceptional individual. Expect something on the order of 30-40 hours per week minimum of study time, over and above the approx. 24 hours a week you spend in class, to complete assignments and projects, and prepare for exams.
