I'm doing an evaluation of an old building in DC and the information I found on the construction type of the building is Type 1C. The building was originally constructed in the early 1900s, so it did not use the BOCA building code for its construction type.
I'm assuming that the building is similar to a Type 1B (2-hour protection), based on other older building codes (i.e. - New York City and Chicago).
Any additional information? Confirmation?
